Nicole A. Karr, DMD

Dr. Karr graduated from the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon in 1996. She received Academic All-American honors and was awarded an NCAA scholarship for post-graduate education, with which she decided to pursue a career in dentistry.

In 2001, Dr. Karr graduated from Oregon Health and Sciences University School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. She then worked in Tucson, Arizona as a general dentist for the next three years, working primarily with the underserved population in the area, with an emphasis on providing dental care to children who had very limited access to dental care. Dr. Karr then returned to her hometown of Portland, Oregon where she completed a one year Fellowship in Endodontics while simultaneously teaching as an Associate Professor at the undergraduate endodontic clinic at OHSU. Dr. Karr subsequently entered the post doctoral residency program in endodontics at Oregon Health and Sciences University and earned her endodontic certification in 2006. While in her residency, Dr. Karr was very active in research, and was published in the Journal of Endodontics for her research Comparison of Gutta-percha and Resilon in the Obturation of Lateral Grooves and Depressions. Dr. Karr is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics and is Board Eligible. She has successfully completed the written examination for Board Certification and is in the process of completing the oral exam.
